The 26 Americans are said to be expatriates of an oil firm and are expected to be airlifted by Air Peace airline to Calabar in Cross River State.

As at the time of this report, sources at the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS command at the airport told AIT that there was no clearance yet for Americans to be airlifted to Calabar.

It will be recalled that the United States was one of 15 Coronavirus high risk countries banned from entry into Nigeria as one of the measures to prevent the spread of the pandemic.
